Many clients have asked. My answer is blunt: no. It's not that I don't want the business — it's that I won't risk harming you.

One: feng shui reads qi, and qi must be felt in person.
Whether a building is prosperous or not, your body knows the instant you step through the door — stifling or open, oppressive or easeful. Through a screen, all you transmit is pixels. No qi, no reading. What exactly would I be diagnosing?
Two: you don't film the house — you film the house you want me to see.
The angles are yours, the lighting is yours, and sha qi never walks into frame on its own. The road rushing straight at the front door may be right behind you; the reverse-bow water may sit just outside your lens. Photos are no better: the living room gets the glamour shots, while the toilet pressing on the center palace or the door facing the elevator — the positions that actually matter — never get sent. Judging feng shui from video is judging a case with one eye closed — and if the verdict is wrong, you're the one who pays.
Three: compass readings and the surrounding environment must be measured on-site.
One degree off, and auspicious can flip to inauspicious. No phone lens captures the mountains, water, roads, bridges, towers, and high-rises around a property — yet the entrance orientation must be set from exactly those external features, taken together. Orientation is never decided by compass direction alone, and never by the client's bazi life-gua (the East-four/West-four formula belongs to the Eight Mansions school — I don't use it). Can't see the environment, can't set the orientation. No orientation, no consultation.
Four: doing it anyway would be irresponsible.
Right over video, that's luck. Wrong, and you buy the wrong house and live in the wrong energy — at a cost of millions. I'd rather turn down the engagement than run that trade. On-site surveys only, never remote video readings — that is my iron rule.

Sweet words through a screen, and when problems move in with you, who do you call? When choosing a consultant, first check whether he dares to show up. One who won't come on-site won't dare write "effectiveness guaranteed" either.
Some clients say: "I'm out of town — can't you make one exception?" My answer is still no. If I truly can't get there, we wait for the travel schedule, or we skip this one. No rush jobs, no remote readings — that too is responsibility. If I break the rule for you today, what do I compensate you with when problems surface tomorrow?
